Greg Byrd – Pastor

Pastor Greg is a native Texan, from Dallas. A graduate of Dallas Baptist University and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, he holds a BAS in Business Administration and Christian Ministries, and an MDIVBL. He is currently working towards a D.MIN. at Dallas Theological in Church Revitalization. He has been married to Kim for 36 years and they have six children, James and his wife Kathryn, Elisabeth and her husband Mark Swofford, Lottie, and Emma. They now have four grandchildren, Landry, Benjamin, Jack and Liam.After serving as a Pastor for 7 years, he and Kim were appointed to the International Mission Board and served in Puebla, Mexico as Spiritual Formation Mentor, and as a Strategy Leader in Mexico City until being called to Ridgecrest. Pastor Greg brings to Ridgecrest a passion for making Disciples of Jesus through a very intentional observance of the teachings of Jesus. He brings a vision for loving God, loving people and making disciples. He is passionate about building relationships and community. In his free time he enjoys eating good food, especially good Tex-Mex and good Texas BBQ while watching his Texas Longhorns!

Amber Crafton – Worship Leader

Amber Crafton is a California transplant, coming from a 6 year stint in the army. She graduated with a bachelors in music from Excelsior University, earned a masters degree in management from University of Phoenix. Recently, she earned a Masters Degree in Worship Leadership from Dallas Baptist University. She currently teaches in Oak Cliff as an elementary school teacher. She has been married to her husband, Tim (the bass player) for over 6 years and they have one daughter, Coraline (the four year-old that sings from the front row). She has served in various worship teams over the last 20 years and enjoys teaching others about how to be better musicians and worshippers. In her free time, she likes playing video games and crafting!
